Event description

Want to know what your fellow founders are doing during these trying times?

Our TSL community is an untapped knowledge fountain - everyone with their own unique story to tell. Join us in a virtual fireside chat with your peers. Listen in on:

  • What they're currently doing
  • How they're coping with the current situation
  • How have they adapted
  • What resources and tools they have used
  • What they have planned for the future

The session will run for 30min followed by a 15min Q&A.

We will be running two Founder Stories each week.

  • Tuesdays, 2pm-2.45pm (AWST)
  • Fridays, 2pm-2.45pm (AWST)

Make sure you register your attendance as spots are limited and exclusive to TSL members only. You will be sent the video call link once you have registered.

Tune in to see what practical advice you can take away from each session. See you on the virtual side!

Tuesday 5 May 2020

Barkley Day, Co-Founder & General Manager, Akora and BD Water

Barkley built his first business in his late teens where he started on the tools installing & maintaining irrigation systems while he put himself through a Mechanical Engineering degree. Finishing the degree, he put his business ambitions on hold to start a career in the mining industry where he helped build the largest dewatering system in the world and operated some of the most effective processing operations today.

Barkley has since founded two businesses Akora, an online property management platform and BD Water, a fully integrated engineering and construction company. He focuses most of his energy on building them into large scale operations via customer-centric models that counter the current leaders in each field. He prides himself on being able to bring the best value adders into teams and enable them to deliver the most amazing of results.
