What is Founder Stories?
The Tank Stream Labs community is home to an incredible knowledge fountain - everyone with their own unique story to tell. Join us every week to listen in on conversations with our talented founders.

Next week we speak with Cat Long, CEO & Co-Founder & Joanna Auburn, Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder, Trace. We'll chat about:

• technology advances helping to build a greener future
• how we can offset our carbon footprint and track our impact
• the entrepreneurial journey of two UK expats

THIS WEEK'S FOUNDERS

Cat Long, CEO & Co-Founder, Trace
Cat graduated from Oxford University and started her career on a graduate scheme called 'the Entrepreneur Development Programme'...but it took nearly a decade to put the training to the test! She has spent the last
8 years delivering strategy and transformation projects across financial services and energy markets, most recently at Macquarie. After running several projects in the renewable energy space and using human centred design to solve problems, she decided it was time to leave corporate life to launch trace with her friend Joanna.

Joanna Auburn, Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder, Trace
Joanna is an expert in customer experience, CRO & growth. Joanna brings a wealth of experience as the original product manager at the UK's first retail renewable energy provider. Most recently Joanna has been at the forefront of growth on the internet at finder, where she scaled products into 80 countries.
Cat & Jo started their first business together in 2017 (est2026.com.au).

A bit about trace
trace is for anyone who wants to do their part to mitigate the climate crisis but doesn't know how without fundamentally changing their lifestyles. Through a simple monthly subscription we offset our members' carbon footprint and allow them to visualise and share their impact. trace also helps employers engage their staff on their journey to net zero and provides marketing-friendly offset solutions for sustainable brands. Imagine the future if we all leave a #positivetrace.
