Being a founder can be incredibly lonely and stressful. For Spark Fest 2022, we're facilitating an open and candid discussion on the mental health side of the founder journey with 2 high-profile founders doing important work in the space

AirTree Partner Jackie Vullinghs will chat with Chris Raine, CEO of Australians for Mental Health, founder and ex-CEO of Hello Sunday Morning, and Jane Martino co-Founder and Chair of Smiling Mind, Australia’s #1 mental health app with more than 7 million users, and Chief of Staff at Linktree.

They’ll cover topics including:

- Chris and Jane's founder experiences: the highs and lows of the journey
- The strategies and tactics they use to build resilience and to maintain their own wellbeing
- Tips on how other founders and startup leaders can support the wellbeing of their team and the community

About Jackie Vullinghs
Jackie is a Partner at AirTree, a venture capital firm with a mission to back the most ambitious and unrelenting Australia and Kiwi founders, building the iconic technology companies of tomorrow. Jackie works with 8 portfolio companies including Linktree, MILKRUN, GROW, Eucalyptus and Who Gives A Crap. Prior to AirTree, Jackie invested in Fintech at NAB Ventures, and was Chief of Staff at B2B SaaS startup Kalo, a Series A stage startup based in San Francisco & London. Jackie started her career on the trading floor at Citigroup and Merrill Lynch as a VP in Equity Derivatives, and graduated from Cambridge University.


About Chris Raine
Chris Raine is an Australian Social Entrepreneur with a focus on mental health and addiction. He is the Founder, ex-CEO of Hello Sunday Morning. He is the CEO of Australians for Mental Health and Co-founder of Clean Slate Clinic - a home telehealth alcohol detox service with a mission to safely detox 10,000 Australians by 2025. Chris is a Young Australian of the Year (QLD), a Westpac Social Change Fellow and a Skoll Scholarship recipient, completing an MBA at Oxford University.

About Jane Martino

Jane Martino is a proven entrepreneur, operator and business leader. She is currently the Chief of Staff at Linktree and the Chair and Co-founder of Smiling Mind, Australia’s #1 mental health app with more than 7 million users of its programs. She has built multiple organisations to successful exits across the media, martech, fintech and digital health sectors including the digital platform Shout which she sold to ANZ in 2015 and subsequently becoming the bank’s Head of Social Segment. As a passionate supporter and participant in the Australian start-up ecosystem, Martino is an investor and advisor to high-profile start-ups including Brandcrush, Deliciou, Expert360, Own Home, Sorted, TRIBE and Vervoe.
