Public relations can be an expensive business, but Jules Brooke has revolutionised this field by embracing technology and teaching people how to do their own PR. As a result, her business, Handle Your Own PR, has helped thousands of small business owners make millions of dollars’ worth of media exposure by running their own PR campaigns. As part of this, Jules has started the ‘She’s The Boss’ community which has evolved, especially during the pandemic. Using her online bootcamps, coaching and PR SaaS platform (that she mortgaged her house over a decade ago to establish), Jules’ students have been on TV, radio and been featured in magazines and newspapers nationally. Many have gone on to huge success in their business. As part of the ‘She’s The Boss’ community, there are regular free Zoom lunches with women around the country every Friday lunchtime (#noagenda) a podcast called ‘She’s The Boss’ Chats and a ‘She’s The Boss’ YouTube channel featuring interviews with successful women. Over a year ago, Jules has become the host of a TV show called … ‘She’s The Boss’ with over 4 million viewers per month. We’re going to find out more about being ‘The Boss’.

Jules Brooke is the founder of Handle Your Own PR, a DIY PR service for business owners. She has been teaching people how to get media coverage for their business for over 10 years. Way before Jacinda Ardern and other world leaders started doing their own PR, Jules has worked locally and overseas and has a philosophy of embracing opportunity.
