When Mariam Mohammed was stuck in a policy job in Canberra, she knew there had to be a better way to make positive change. So, she co-founded a startup - MoneyGirl – the first social enterprise of its kind in Australia.

Mariam is listed on the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence, and a 2020 NSW Young Woman of the Year Finalist. Besides the high achievements, she is all about community. In 2017, she became the President of Sydney University Postgraduate Association – leading the team that delivered a 600% increase in the organisation’s community engagement. By 2019, she had co-founded MoneyGirl to empower and inspire women to become financially independent.
