Sally Dominquez is a futurist, an entrepreneur and a thought leader in resilience and innovation. An Australian inventor and innovator Sally co-hosted TheNextBillionCars podcast and Foxtel’s Aussie Inventions that Changed the World, judged inventions on ABC TV’s New Inventors and judges Car of the Year awards. Sally has won 7 international design awards for her products Nest High Chair and the Rainwater H2OG tank and Nest is held in the Permanent Collection of the Powerhouse Museum.
Sally is on faculty at Singularity University as an exponential (10X) Mindset specialist. She was IKEA’s sustainable resilience expert for their 2020 Life at Home report and teaches her Adventurous Thinking strategy, a proactive design thinking methodology, at Stanford and in organisations around the world. Sally has just completed her first book, EPIC RESILIENCE: Thriving Through Chaos & Change. She plans to roll this wellness and innovation strategy out into education, business and consumer verticals in 2021.
Sally’s passion is inspiring and assisting others to think consistently in the realm of possibility and curious thought. We are going to find out how Sally does it and hopefully in the lead-up to International Women’s Day, inspire other women to break free from sterotypes and follow their passion.
SPEAKER BIO
Sally’s business strategies all revolve around her purpose statement - to activate optimism and creative confidence. To date she has done that through her Adventurous Thinking strategy and with the launch of her book, EPIC Resilience, and the accompanying wellness strategy she plans to increase that impact. EPIC will outreach ideally via the Australian education system as a holistic approach to STEAM innovation, and is simultaneously rolling out as a business strategy that creates a culture of innovation and inclusion. Sally is a frugal innovator, which means creativity before capital, and she is planning a frugal but effective (hopefully!) rollout of EPIC to impact as many people in different areas as possible.
