Event description

Join us for a hands-on day at the Frahns Farm Seed Orchard, helping us maintain and prepare this vital space for future native plantings. Your efforts will keep the orchard healthy and productive, ensuring we have plenty of native seeds for our restoration projects.

Tasks on the day will include:

  • Weeding around our plants to ensure only native seeds make it into our direct-seeding mix
  • Removing senescent plants and debris from the Seed Orchard
  • Collecting seeds from any late-fruiting species
  • Preparing the Seed Orchard for infill planting in June
  • Applying fertiliser to boost plant health and seed production
  • Adding more potting soil to the raised beds (if soil is available)
