Support is available for:
breastfeeding and early feeding questions

general questions about babies and young children

baby carrier fitting and adjustments
The drop-in is hosted by community midwife and feeding specialist Louise Paterson and midwife and attachment-focused infant sleep coach Katie Cortes.
South Eastern Babywearing Group attends on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Babywearing Support
Bring your own carrier for help with fitting, adjustments, positioning and comfort.
You can also:
learn how to position your baby safely and comfortably
troubleshoot discomfort or fitting concerns
explore wraps, slings and structured carriers
see, feel and try carriers from our demonstration collection
explore options suitable from newborn through to toddlerhood
ask questions before choosing or purchasing a carrier elsewhere
You do not need to own a carrier or have any previous babywearing experience.
Who Is Welcome?
Expectant parents, parents, caregivers, partners, grandparents, support people, babies, toddlers and older children are all welcome.
This is an informal drop-in session. There is no need to arrive at the beginning or stay for the entire session. You are welcome to feed, change, settle or play with your baby whenever needed.
What to Bring
Bring any baby carriers you already own, including carriers you have borrowed, purchased second-hand or received from someone else. Where possible, please also bring the instruction booklet.
You are equally welcome to attend without a carrier and explore the options in our demonstration collection.
Free, Community-Based Support
The Frankston South Early Parenting Drop-in is a free community support service.
South Eastern Babywearing Group is volunteer-run. We do not sell baby carriers or receive commissions for recommending particular products.
Our aim is to help families understand their options and find safe, comfortable solutions suited to their individual needs.
Bookings
This is a drop-in session, and booking is not essential.
Registering through Humanitix is still helpful because it allows us to:
anticipate how many families may attend
plan for families seeking babywearing support
contact you if the session needs to be changed or cancelled
You are still welcome to come along if you have not registered.
Stay in Touch
Would you like to hear about upcoming free babywearing sessions and other Southern Natural Parenting Network events?
At checkout, tick “Keep me updated on the latest news, events and exclusive offers.” This is Humanitix’s standard wording for joining our email update list.
Southern Natural Parenting Network does not sell products or send promotional offers. We send occasional information about upcoming free events, new articles and community support opportunities.
You can unsubscribe at any time.
Photos at Our Events
We sometimes take photographs at our events to help show families what to expect and illustrate the support we provide.
These may include general photographs of the session, a group photograph or individual families who have agreed to be photographed.
It is completely fine not to be photographed or to ask that your baby’s face is not shown. We will always ask before taking an individual photograph, and you may be asked to complete a photo consent form.
Tickets for good, not greed Humanitix dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity
