Free All Levels Character Workshop & Mic

Kooky, crazy characters oh my! Bring your character to the character workshop & mic. This workshop will help you develop your personality and feel even more confident on stage. Through exercises in improv, physicality, scene work and writing, we will grow your understanding of your character.

What to bring:

Just bring yourself and an idea for a character. Optionally you may bring any props / costuming and writing materials. Though we have notepads and pens to provide.

Mic 6:15-7PM

Teacher: Darren Saad (he/they/she) is a multidimensional performer with many character personas. They have been studying improvisational character work for 10 years, educated at Upright Citizens Brigade in advanced character study, the Magnet, NYFA & The New School. They have been a private acting coach for one year and have taught previous workshops in improv studies. Their skills include clowning, drag, improv & sketch comedy. They are also a producer & director of Alphabet City Laughs Productions.
