Unleash Your Creativity: Free Art Workshops for BPD Awareness Week

Join us for a relaxed, fun, and inclusive series of art sessions celebrating Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Awareness Week. Hosted at the Medicare Mental Health Centre in Mt Barker, these free workshops offer a welcoming community space to paint, connect, and discover local mental health supports. Everyone aged 16 and over is welcome - whether you are living with BPD, supporting a loved one, or simply curious to explore your creative side. No formal diagnosis or prior art experience is needed!

What to Expect Across two sessions - Thursday, 1 October (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and Friday, 2 October (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) participants will have access to a rich variety of artistic mediums.

Workshop sizes are capped at 20 participants to ensure plenty of room and materials, with potential upgrades to larger supplies for smaller groups!

To keep you fueled while you create, we’ll offer warm coffee machine beverages and biscuits during the workshop sessions.

Exhibit Your Art Following the workshops, you’ll have the optional opportunity to showcase your finished creations at Medicare Mental Health Centre, Mt Barker. We’ll be hosting an exhibition celebration complete with light nibbles to honour everyone’s artwork and foster connection within the community.

The Medicare Mental Health Centre in Mt Barker provides free, compassionate, and accessible mental health support and community programs for individuals and families across the Adelaide Hills. Delivered by Summit Health and funded by SA Health & Country SA PHN, our centre offers a safe, inclusive environment where community members can connect, access professional guidance, and engage in wellbeing activities - no referral or appointment needed.
