Event description

Effective meetings: How to have a good Board/committee meeting and get things done!

There is nothing worse than a long ineffective meeting. Discover the power of a good agenda. Explore good process for meetings and effective discussions and how the responsibility for a good meeting lies with everyone attending, not just the chairperson.

Date: 3 September

Time: 6.30pm to 7.45pm

Venue: Zoom webinar

Presenter: Carol Scholes (Overview Effect)

NOTE 1: Slides of the session will be sent out afterwards but this time only to those who attend the session. We believe it is important to have been in attendance to get the most understanding and explanation given by Carol to the slides and thus remove any possible confusion otherwise.

NOTE 2: Please ensure that you have your first and last name is visible on your Zoom video, after you join, so that we can mark your attendance and therefore send you out the presenter's SLIDES afterwards and other follow up information.

Governance Matters is a series of FREE Zoom sessions focused on governance principles for boards or committees of NFP organisations in New Zealand.

Many volunteer members of committees or boards struggle to find the time to develop their skills in governance or have topics they would like to explore further but can’t devote a whole or half day to attending a workshop. These workshops are designed to be delivered in 1-1.5-hour sessions on very specific topics. Participants can attend one or more as needed. Each workshop will give basic principles and provide time for questions.
