Flexible working isn’t just good for people — it’s good for business.

The Case for Flexible Working: Inclusive, Sustainable, Impactful

For social enterprises, fair and flexible work isn’t just an employee perk – it’s a way to live our values while strengthening our organisations.

Flexible working can help you deliver more impact with limited resources: improving retention, reducing absence, boosting productivity, and attracting talent who share your mission. Offering fair, flexible work also demonstrates your commitment to inclusion and fairness – principles at the heart of social enterprise.

In this interactive session, Flexible Working Scotland’s founder, Lynn Houmdi, will share evidence on why flexibility is a cost-effective strategy for growth and impact, helping social enterprises to thrive in challenging times.

She’ll also introduce the new Flexible Working Scotland Jobs Board – designed to connect inclusive employers with candidates actively seeking flexible roles. Social enterprises joining the session will be invited to pilot the jobs board with free listings, giving you a chance to showcase your vacancies while shaping a tool designed with purpose-led organisations in mind.
