This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Hi!

To try and keep us all dancing in a COVID-19 safe manner, we were running in-person and online classes simultaneously on Wednesdays.

We will resume in-person classes in our Fitzroy venue when it is safe to do so.

UPDATE as at Tue 18th Jan 2022:

There will be no in-person Fitzroy Classes in Feb 2022 - we are offering FREE online classes instead and giving you the opportunity to raise funds for Foodbank Victoria.

This Humanitix page is for registering for the ONLINE class only.

During online classes via Zoom:

Camera ON: We ask everyone joining to have their camera on and screen display on “Gallery View” so we can try to re-create the class atmosphere. As with our in-studio classes, there should not be any spectators – as everyone should feel comfortable to dance and move to the best of their ability.

Mute Yourself: Please put your device on mute during the class – unless of course you want to ask a question (in which case you can un-mute for the question and then turn back on mute). We encourage the classes to be informal and collaborative!

Do not take your device camera around your house: Please keep it in one place even if you need to leave the room.

To participate we ask you to agree to the following...

  • Online attendees will be required to register via Humanitix prior to each class. Registrations for online classes are 1 per household.
  • Registrations for online classes will close at 3pm on the day of the class so please register prior to that if you plan to attend. If you cannot make it, please cancel your ticket so that someone else can grab that spot.
  • Once you have completed this registration process for the online class, the video link will be emailed to you between 3-4pm on the Wednesday of the class. By clicking on the video link we send through, you are agreeing to the conditions set out on this page.
  • Wear comfortable work-out clothes. If you have Indian clothing please feel free to get into character.
  • Appropriate footwear is recommended.
  • Keep a towel and a bottle of water near you.
  • Clear your dance space to avoid tripping on or bumping into things in your room. Be mindful of children or pets that may not be in your line of vision while dancing.

By participating in our classes you fully understand that participation in any Jhoom-Bollywood Dance Company (JDC) class is taken at your own risk. You accept that JDC will not take responsibility for any incidents or injuries incurred during the class. You will take responsibility for your safety by following the instructions given by JDC staff and wearing appropriate attire.
