Safeguarding for NDIS Boards - Free online safeguarding training

People with disability can be more vulnerable to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

However, NDIS providers can take measures to protect them. This is known as ‘safeguarding’.

This free 1.5 hour online workshop will help board members to:

•      Understand what safeguarding is

•      Understand the Board’s safeguarding responsibilities

•      Develop and apply practical measures that will keep clients safer and start the process of developing an organisational culture of safeguarding

The session will apply the Building Blocks of Safeguarding Culture to provide an easy way to approach safeguarding in the NDIS.

This session is part of a larger project ‘Compliance and Beyond – Safeguarding people with disability for NDIS workers and providers’ which is funded by the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Grants Program, and delivered by Micah Projects in partnership with BBSafe.
