Join us for a special free community screening of this inspiring award-winning Australian movie* celebrating the remarkable journeys of migratory shorebirds and the wetlands they depend on.

Save the Riverstone Wetlands!

The Riverstone Wetlands — one of the last three remaining wetlands in the Sydney Basin. Right here in our own backyard!

Migratory birds fly 13,000 to 14,000 kilometres, August – October, each year, from Alaska and Siberia, to the Riverstone Wetlands, where they rest and feed in the warmer months, before returning to Alaska and Siberia to breed in the warmer months.

Come and see the movie! Learn about the Riverstone Wetlands, how they got there, and the migratory birds and other waterbirds there during the year, including Black Swans. Learn why the Riverstone Wetlands can’t simply be relocated as developers would have you believe.
