FREE Stand-up Paddleboarding & Giant Stand-up Paddleboarding - Hatsfield Beach - 12 Dec 2026

Ready to try something new? Join the awesome team from the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre (MERC) for an unforgettable stand-up paddleboarding adventure! Whether you're stepping onto a paddleboard for the first time or keen to experience the fun of a giant stand-up paddleboard (GSUP), this hands-on session will have you building confidence on the water, learning new skills, and enjoying a unique outdoor adventure.

With expert guidance from MERC instructors, you'll learn the basics of paddling, balance, and water safety before putting your skills into action. Try your hand at a traditional stand-up paddleboard or work together as a team on the giant stand-up paddleboard, where communication, teamwork, and plenty of laughs are all part of the experience.

Important Notes

➜ 🚸 Suitable for all ages. Children under 15 must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.

➜ 🌊 Participants should be comfortable around water. No previous paddleboarding experience is required.

➜ 🦺 MERC will provide all activity equipment and compulsory safety gear, including life jackets.

➜ ⚠️ On the day of the event, all participants (or their guardians) must sign risk disclosures before taking part.

➜ 🌧️ This event is weather permitting and may be postponed or cancelled if water or weather conditions are unsuitable.
