Gadigal/Sydney based reggae fusion group Green Hand Band draw musical influences from soul, reggae and desert rock genres since, and have been making infectiously passionate music since their early inception in 2014. As a multicultural band, some of the cornerstone subjects within their music highlight racism and inequality, aiming to break down barriers and raise awareness through their sound.
With their fresh grooving sounds and aspirations to keep their messages clear for audiences from all walks of life, especially those within many unique and vibrant communities, the Green Hand Band are a group that invites you to be a part of their story and make you feel music in the Green Hand way.
The Green Hand Band have already released their debut EP as part of Corroboree Festival in 2015 and are excited to release their album ‘The Reset’ as part of Free the Friday at Red Rattler. Green Hand Bands first show was at Red Rattler, so this will be a big full circle for all members of the band!
Supported by Gadigal based band Lemonise, singer/songwriter hailing from Ambyrm Island Vanuatu, Tio and special guests, First Nations & Australian Music royalty Nardi Simpson from the Stiff Gins who sung backup vocals on 'The Reset' and have just released their album 'CrossRoads', this Free The Friday will be a very special occassion and will not be one to miss!
