Free Walking Tour in San Francisco
Event description
Join us for a free walking tour of downtown San Francisco! The tour starts every day at 10 a.m. in Union Square, at the corner of Post and Powell Streets. Look for the white and orange flag saying "Free Tour". The tour ends at 12:30 p.m. at the Embarcadero Center, opposite of the Ferry Building.
Please make a booking in advance, as space is limited.
The tour is a great way to learn about the history and culture of San Francisco. Our guides are knowledgeable and friendly, and they will share stories about the city's past and present. The tour starts on Union Square and through Maiden Lane you will go to the small alleyways in Chinatown and visit the Fortune Cookie Factory. Discover hidden parks and gardens in the Financial District and end the tour with a gorgeous view of the Ferry Building.
The tour covers most of downtown San Francisco, including Union Square, Chinatown, Financial District, and Embarcadero. You will see many famous landmarks, such as the Transamerica Pyramid, Old Tongs, the fortune cookie factory, and the Ferry Building.
These tours run on the pay-as-you-wish model. Anyone can join the tour and when it ends you determine how much this tour was worth it. Your tips help us keep the tour running.
