Event description

Join us for an engaging presentation on the current climate and health crises, and the lifestyle changes and kaitiakitanga (environmental stewardship) that we can undertake.

Gain insight with an overview of the current health and environmental statistics in New Zealand, why change is important and what we can do to take action. Drawing on the latest scientific evidence, this presentation takes an easy-to-understand approach to living a healthier, climate-friendly and more meaningful lifestyle. Plus, you will also learn why the health benefits of a whole food plant-based lifestyle can be immensely beneficial to your athletic ambitions when it comes to performance, recovery, and longevity in the sport.

Your presenter, Ben Eitelberg, is the co-founder of The Lentil Intervention, a not-for-profit Australasian educational and advocacy platform. As a New Zealand registered charitable trust, it aims to inspire the adoption of lifestyle changes toward climate-friendly and healthy lifestyle practices and foster resilient communities by way of community outreach, campaigns, provision of resources and a podcast.

Ben is an environmentalist, accredited endurance sports coach, an ultra-endurance athlete, and an advocate for a whole food plant-based lifestyle.

The Lentil Intervention is a New Zealand registered charity which means for those of you in New Zealand, you can claim tax credits for donations of $5 or more. Please request a receipt should you require one.
