This FREE one-hour workshop provides an introductory glance at the core principals and beliefs of Narrative Therapy, as well as delving into the concept of the "Trauma Narrative" and how one's sense of identity could change as a result of society's views on trauma. This workshop links Trauma recovery and Narrative Therapy, by exploring how a Narrative Therapy framework could be helpful in overcoming the "Trauma Tale".

This Workshop will be interactive and self-reflective, with the facilitator aiming to develop a shared understanding on the concepts of Narrative Therapy, Trauma identity, and the beginnings of a Narrative Therapy informed Trauma Framework. In this workshop, you will learn:

Core beliefs and principals of Narrative Therapy practice
Common experiences of the 'Trauma Narrative" of clients presenting with a trauma experience
How a Narrative Framework could benefit clients who present with a trauma experience

Who is this event for?

Mental Health Professionals: All mental health professionals including, but not limited to Clinical Counsellors, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Hospice and Palliative Care Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Workers, Addiction Specialists, Marital & Family Therapists, Child Protection and Disability Workers, Guidance Officers, Speech and Language Therapists, Residential Care Workers and Foster Support Workers, Vocational Rehabilitation Consultants, General Practitioners, and all other mental health professionals looking to enhance their therapeutic skills.
