[ARCHIVED] Y11 Biology Preparation Workshop
Event description
This course is for students graduating in 2023, or others who wish to start the year 11 course in term 4 2021.
Get ahead for Year 11 Biology by learning the basics of cellular life these holidays!
What’s in this workshop?
We’ll look at an overview of the Year 11 Biology syllabus, tips and tricks for studying and how to avoid losing easy marks in exams. We’ll then get a head start on Module 1: Cells as the Basis of Life by understanding the structure of a cell, its organelles, as well as how cells exchange materials with their environment.
Instead of focusing on the minor details (that will probably be forgotten by 2022!), this seminar will focus on broader biology concepts and knowledge to fill the gap between Year 10 and 11, and make learning biology simple, easy and clear for your upcoming senior years!
Who’s teaching this?
Jennifer How is our Biology coordinator. With a state rank under her belt, numerous scholarships and accolades from the University of Sydney and critically, over four years’ experience teaching high school Biology – she’s developed the best method to extract the most from students just like you.
