Description

Freeda — A Community Creative Space

Freeda is a welcoming, donation-based community creative space offering a calm, pressure-free environment to slow down, create freely, and reconnect — with yourself and with others.

Freeda returns for its fourth gathering, continuing to offer a gentle space where creativity, connection, and belonging can be explored at your own pace.

This experience is inspired by the natural human need to create, play, and connect. Through simple, open-ended creative invitations, you’re encouraged to explore art in a way that feels supportive and personal. There is no right or wrong way to take part, and no expectation to create something finished or “good.”

No previous art experience is needed.
All art materials are provided.
Gentle guidance is available if you feel unsure or need a starting point.

You’re welcome to move at your own pace — making art, experimenting quietly, observing, or simply being present.

Freeda is not art therapy. Rather, it is a community creative experience that values process over product, freedom over perfection, and connection over comparison.

Come exactly as you are — curious, tired, uncertain, creative, or simply in need of a slower moment.

Everyone is welcome 🌿

✨ Contribution (please read)

Freeda is offered as a donation-based space. Contributions help cover art materials, room hire, and snacks, while helping Freeda continue growing sustainably.

• $20 — standard contribution
• $30 — deeply appreciated if you’re able to support a little more
• $10 — welcome if your budget is tight
• $5 — suitable for very low budgets
• $0 — if money is a barrier right now, you are still warmly welcome to join

Please choose what feels honest and supportive for you.

Your contribution helps care for the space and helps Freeda continue growing.

If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.

    Noemie

My name is Noemie, and I am an international student currently completing a Bachelor of Art Therapy at IKON Institute. Having lived in Australia for the past five years, my journey of studying, working, and travelling has also become a personal search for belonging, connection, and a sense of home. Throughout my life, creative expression has been a grounding and supportive way for me to reconnect — with myself and with others — especially during times of transition or uncertainty. Art became a way to express what words could not, and a bridge toward feeling more present, authentic, and connected. Freeda grew from this experience and from a desire to offer a space where people can explore creativity as a pathway toward belonging — both individually and collectively. Freeda is not art therapy, and I do not practice as an art therapist within this space. Instead, I facilitate as a gentle guide, offering structure while allowing freedom to explore, express, and simply be, using a variety of art materials within a shared community setting. My hope is that Freeda becomes a space where people can arrive exactly as they are — with curiosity, uncertainty, joy, tiredness, or simply a desire to slow down — and leave feeling a little more connected to themselves and to others 🌿
