Event description

How many descriptions of older women vs older men are there in popular culture?

What does it say about how we view older women?

How does it drive gender inequality?

Join us for this free webinar which will examine how older women are portrayed in popular culture.

Presenters include Australian Journalist, Author and Feminist Jane Gilmore and the Citizen Researchers documenting representations of older women.

The seminar is for everyone - including service providers who want to better understand the experiences and needs of older women or take a gender lens to their work with older women. The seminar is also for older women and for community leaders who are passionate about equality for older women.

This event is part of #OlderWomenCount, an initiative of Celebrate Ageing Ltd, the Older Women’s Network NSW and Suzanne Phoenix. Thank you to our primary partner Elder Rights Advocacy and to our other partners National Older Women's Network NSW. For more information go to: celebrateageing.com/olderwomencount
