About the film
Sixty years after the landmark 1965 Freedom Ride led by Charlie Perkins, Stand Up brought together seven First Nations and five Jewish young adults to retrace parts of that historic journey - honouring the shared histories of resilience and activism within both communities. The documentary both preserves their story and ensures its legacy of reconciliation, learning, and allyship lives on for generations to come.
