Event description

 Event Leader - Taryn

Get ready for a truly unique hiking experience as we head over to the beautiful and remote French Island – home to the largest population of koalas in Australia! With its untouched landscapes, peaceful walking trails, and rich wildlife, French Island is a nature-lover’s dream and the perfect place to unwind and connect with others.

Walk MP will handle all the details – we’ve even organised your ferry transfers to and from the island, so you can simply relax and enjoy the adventure.

  • Departing from Stony Point at 8:15am
  • Returning on the 3:35pm ferry back to Stony Point

We’re thrilled to be hosted by the warm and welcoming team at the French Island General Store, where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch spread featuring:

Lunch Platters:
Cold Options: An assortment of sandwiches including egg & lettuce, ham & salad, and fresh seasonal salads
Hot Options: Spring rolls, chicken nuggets, sausage rolls, and party pies

Morning or Afternoon Tea Treats:
Cakes, slices, and hot jam donuts (yes, please!)

Drinks Station:
Tea, coffee, and juice available

We’ll walk approximately 12km across the island, taking in its natural beauty and spotting wildlife along the way. With most of the island protected as national park and very little vehicle traffic, this is a rare chance to explore a wild and peaceful environment – and maybe even spot some koalas dozing in the treetops!

New to Walk MP? We love welcoming new faces!
One of our regulars? You already know how great the vibe is – and this trip will be no exception.

Come join us for a day of fun, food, friendship, and furry little koalas.
Let’s explore, unwind, and make some memories together.
