friction
Event description
There is no queer liberation without collective liberation.
Friction is a one-day event in the courtyard of Echo & Bounce. The space will encompass an art exhibition, panel discussion, music performances and food from the afternoon to the evening.
Here, we ground collective liberation as an inherent aspect of queerness, centring First Nations peoples to these lands alongside people of colour displaced by settler-colonial systems.
Through visual art, discourse, music, and spoken word, we delve into this discomfort to nurture individual and collective growth.
