Friday Foliage Hike

Get ready for an unforgettable FRIDAY adventure in the Shawangunk Mountains! This is the best time of year to catch all the best foliage changes upstate. This hike through the Mohonk Preserve promises breathtaking landscapes and exhilarating challenges, unlike any previous Outsiders trip. You’ll navigate stunning rock scrambles and exposed sections, immersing yourself in nature while requiring your full attention and care.

The day begins with scenic forest paths, where you’ll soak in the tranquil surroundings before tackling the thrilling terrain. Along the way, we’ll share insights into the area’s geology and history, with ample opportunities to pause, appreciate the views, and enjoy some snacks. You’ll have plenty of chances to capture the beauty with photos as we document your journey.

After our hike, we’ll unwind at one of the top Hudson Valley breweries or cideries, celebrating our outdoor adventure.

Your guide for the day will be Cliff Goldstein, a NY State-licensed hiking and camping guide based in the Catskills. A California native with a passion for the outdoors, Cliff is excited to share his favorite mountain spots and expertise with you.

EVENT DETAILS:

• 10:00 AM – Meet at Worthwild
• 10:30 AM – Depart
• 12:00 AM – Arrive at hike entrance
• 2:00 PM – Snack break on the trail
• 3:00 PM – Conclude hike and head to food and drinks
• 6:00 PM – Depart back to NYC

Bring your hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers, pack some water and snacks, and invite your friends (or come solo) for a day of exploration and excitement in the great outdoors!
