Join Us for Our FridayFocus Session: How Good Is Your Safety Culture, Really?
Most organisations would say that safety is a priority. But how do you know whether you have a genuinely strong safety culture, rather than simply good safety systems and compliance?
Safety culture is what happens when nobody is watching, when production is under pressure and when doing the right thing isn't necessarily the easiest thing.
This Friday Focus discussion will explore what a strong safety culture actually looks like and how leaders can tell whether their organisation's safety culture is working in practice.
· What are the real signs of a strong safety culture?
Is it reporting, conversations, behaviours, leadership visibility or something else?
· Can people really speak up about safety?
What happens when someone challenges a decision, stops a job or reports a near miss?
· What happens when safety and production priorities collide?
How do leaders demonstrate that safety genuinely comes first?
· How do you measure safety culture?
Are we measuring the right things, or simply measuring activity and compliance?
The discussion is about looking beyond policies and procedures to explore what safety culture really means, and perhaps discovering an insight that is like gold.
