Event description

Glen Eden River is a hidden gem that flows between Warkworth and Matakana. Once you're beyond the tidal section it's only accessible by small craft. You'll paddle from the tidal estuary at Sandspit, past mangroves and some remnant native bush to a small waterfall. There are a few surprises along the way and a few one-kayak-only tributaries that are fun to explore.

Bring your own kayaks, stand up paddle boards, waka ama, and small motorised dinghies to join a social tiki tour of the river.

The following details may change. Weather may cause the paddle to be cancelled.

Please ensure your email address is correct so you can stay up-to-date.

Lifejackets or bouyancy aids are essential for all participants.
