Diamond Creek Edendale Community Revegetation Project

We welcome your participation at our next plant care working bee which involves activities such as weeding, mulching, and any other aspects of ongoing care. Looking after our plantings is essential to the long-term success of the project.

Registration

• Please register to help us plan the activities and notify you of any cancellations.

• Drop-ins however are always welcome.

• Children are most welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

• Please familiarise yourselves with the Safe Work Instruction issued by Edendale Farm.

 Sun safety and snakes when working outdoors  

• Please wear long pants (not leggings), sturdy footwear, socks, long-sleeved shirts, broad-brimmed hats, and sunscreen.

 If you see a snake

• Stay calm and slowly move away, giving it plenty of space.

• Let others nearby know and clear the area if needed.

• Tell a staff member right away.

• From a safe distance, keep an eye on where it goes so we can call a snake catcher if it’s in a public area.

• When working in the gardens or along the creek, stay alert and take a quick look before reaching into plants or thick vegetation.

What to bring -

• Suitable clothing for working outdoors and a pair of gloves. Wet weather gear if appropriate.
