Friends of Forktree Planting Day
Event description
Friends of Forktree Planting Day
Join us for our Friends of Forktree Planting Day on Sunday 23rd July 2023 as we plant a wide selection of native trees and shrubs to re-establish biodiverse native habitat on this former pastoral property.
Enjoy a day out in nature with friends and family - and help boost biodiversity at the same time!
Suitable for volunteers of all abilities and ages. If you are concerned about mobility or access issues, please contact us to discuss at any stage.
What to bring/wear:
- Dress appropriately for a winter's day outdoors!
- Wear decent footwear such as gumboots or walking boots.
- Bring your own gloves and planting tools such as trowels (otherwise we have gloves and tools to borrow on site).
- Bring snacks, lunch and water bottles (additional soup and light refreshments will also be available on site).
- And bring a big smile and lots of enthusiasm for a fun day out doing good in a spectacular location!
Timing:
A volunteer induction will start at 10am, so please aim to arrive shortly before that to get the most out of the day.
Directions:
Directions and further details will be shared once you have registered.
