Description

NB:  You need to be a UWA student to register for this event.

Whether you’re interested in conservation, sustainability, wildlife, or simply want to do something meaningful outside of uni, this is a great opportunity to get involved with a passionate local community and connect with other young people interested in environmental action.

Get outdoors, meet like-minded young people, and make a real impact restoring one of Perth’s most unique urban wetlands at the Friends of Lake Claremont (FOLC) Busy Bee, focused on habitat restoration, native revegetation and supporting Lake Claremont — one of Australia’s largest urban wetland restoration projects.

Friends of Lake Claremont is a community-led volunteer organisation established in 2003 to help conserve and enhance the Lake Claremont wetland and surrounds. FOLC has played a major role in the restoration of the area through planting, conservation projects, environmental education and community initiatives, supported by partnerships with organisations including the Town of Claremont and Millennium Kids.
