Event description
Within our Constitution there are three Classes of members.
The membership of LAG Inc consists of Ordinary Members (i.e. Volunteers who give their time and labour to operating the gallery and have voting rights at General Meetings, Management Meetings and Annual General Meetings);
Sponsor Members (i.e. individuals who sponsor gallery events and operations but do not have voting rights at General Meetings, Management Meetings and Annual General Meetings);
Corporate Members (i.e. businesses/corporations who sponsor gallery events and operations but do not have voting rights at General Meetings, Management Meetings and Annual General Meetings.)
The Friends of Lapunyah Program encompasses Sponsor Members and Corporate Members.
Levels of Membership
General FOL – $25 per year donation
Level 1 FOL - $50 per year donation
Level 2 FOL - $100 per year donation
Level 3 FOL - $200 per year donation
Level 4 FOL - $500 per year donation
Level 5 FOL - $1000 plus per year donation
If a Friend of Lapunyah wishes to make a donation which sits between the five levels, LAG Inc will make equitable decisions regarding the benefits available to the FOL
Long-term sponsorship is also available for naming rights to Gallery 1 and Gallery 2
Benefits of Membership of Friends of Lapunyah Program
Each level has specific benefits ranging over workshop rental, merchandise and artworks purchase discounts and special invitations to events etc.
Scope of Membership for Friends of Lapunyah
Friends of Lapunyah can be an individual Sponsor or a Corporate Member
Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc is registered with the ACNC as having DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status
Membership is through donations (not including Grants) to Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc for specific operations, competitions, and/or programs, or for general daily Gallery-based operations, programs and projects
Any individual or business/corporation/organisation donating $25 or more is entitled to Friends of Lapunyah membership and benefits
Monies raised through additional funding from the Friends of Lapunyah Program will assist in all aspects of Gallery management, maintenance and community support e.g.
Structural – improved infrastructure e.g. storage of Chinchilla Community Collection, merchandise shelving, improved disability access
Managerial – Improved management strategies e.g. Training for Volunteers in Museums and Galleries Standards, improved technological skills
Communication – improved signage e.g. digital outdoor noticeboard, general Gallery Signage
Gallery-based activities – more arts and culture opportunities for the local community e.g. Markets@Lapunyah, competitions (prize money, trophies etc) and community-based exhibitions, Openings
Artist support – Artists@Lapunyah projects e.g. training for artists in gallery practices and procedures, bursaries for artists to attend professional development opportunities, payments for artists at gallery events e.g. Openings (entertainment), workshops (tutors)
Chinchilla Community Collection – e.g. maintenance of existing artworks, acquisition of new artworks, archiving artwork records, protective covers for artworks
Tickets for good, not greed Humanitix dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity
