Frivolry Community Ceilidh
Event description
Friends and new friends of Frivolry! Come and join us for an all-ages community ceilidh at Union Hall, University of Otago!
"But what is a ceilidh?" you ask!
A ceilidh (pronounced "kay-LEE") is a social gathering where guests are invited to partake in called barn dances accompanied by live, high-energy, celtic folk music. We teach you how and where to move your feet, hands, legs, arms, with all levels of experience welcome. So no excuses.
What to bring: your dancing shoes! A water bottle! A friend or family member who has never been to a ceilidh before!
Entry by koha to help us cover the costs of renting sound gear. This can be given on the night via bank transfer or cash.
Disclaimer: if you dance with the same person 3 times, you have to marry them.
