Event description

Many of our natural watercourses have been altered or lost due to flood management, housing developments, and agriculture, leaving fewer places for frogs to thrive. The introduction of non-native species and garden escapee plants has also had an impact.

Fortunately, creating a frog-friendly garden can help restore lost habitat, boosting biodiversity in your backyard and across our community. By designing a space that supports frogs—as well as native butterflies, bees, and other wildlife—you can enjoy a low-maintenance garden with hardy native plants, help conserve local species, and reduce the spread of invasive weeds. Plus, nothing beats the joy of seeing and hearing frogs right at home!

Best of all, it’s easier than you think!

Join Steve Walker from Green Adelaide and Frog Watch SA to learn how to create a backyard haven for frogs with simple, practical steps:
✅ What makes the perfect frog pond?
✅ Step-by-step guide to setting one up
✅ The best native plants to include
✅ What frog species you might attract
✅ How to get involved in frog citizen science

Attendees will receive a free Frog Identification chart to take home.

This session is seeded by Green Adelaide.
