This route takes you through two of the most iconic viewpoints of the Hudson River: Beacon Fire Tower and Breakneck Ridge, offering breathtaking scenic views along the way. Challenging but rewarding, it’s the perfect hike for those seeking both a demanding trail and stunning vistas.

• Difficulty: Harder than hard. For experienced hikers or highly active individuals only.
• Lowest Elevation: 28 ft (8.5 mt)
• Highest Elevation: 1,602 ft (488 mt)
• Elevation Gain: 2,674 ft (815 mt)
• Distance: 11.37 mi (17.6 km) – The distance walk from the train station to the trailhead is 1.8 mi (3 km). This distance is not considered in the hike information. There is a free shuttle, if we ride we won’t walk this distance.
• Hiking Time: 6 hours. This may vary depending on the group’s pace. This hike is suitable only for experienced and brisk-paced hikers.
