From Burnout to Balance | Mindful May at Monash
Description
From Burnout to Balance – A practical workshop with Dr Luke Smith
Stress is part of life, but ongoing pressure can lead to burnout if left unaddressed. Mindfulness offers a practical way to respond, not by avoiding stress, but by changing how we relate to it.
As part of Mindful May at Monash*, this engaging, hands-on workshop with Dr Luke Smith explores how mindfulness can help reduce stress and prevent burnout by drawing on research and real-world application.
In this workshop Luke will cover:
• Understanding burnout, how to recognise it, and how mindfulness supports prevention
• Identifying sources of mental overload and exploring ways to reduce it
• Develop healthier work habits, including strategies for switching off and sustaining engagement
*Mindful May at Monash is inspired by Mindful in May, founded by Dr Elise Bialylew. We’d like to give a big shout-out to Mindful in May and the Mind Life Project behind it. We encourage you to explore the Mindful in May app to boost their mindfulness this month and support a global fundraiser for international charities in the process.
