From Citizen Ideas to Visible Action with LOMA (Online) - Citizen COP 2026
Description
From Community Ideas to Visible Action
Citizen COP brings people together to develop locally grounded ideas for climate and nature. But what happens to those ideas once the event is over?
This interactive webinar introduces LOMA, an independent civic participation and accountability platform that helps turn community proposals into ongoing Local Matters. People can add their voice through Yes, No or Unsure, share why, identify the stakeholders and change-makers who need to be involved, and follow what happens next.
We’ll demonstrate how recommendations emerging from Citizen COP can continue beyond the final report — remaining visible, connected to the communities that created them, and focused on action and accountability.
Participants will also be invited to test and help shape this pathway from community insight to visible action.
No prior knowledge of LOMA is required.
This is a free online session by LOMA. Meeting link will be share in your registration confirmation email and ticket.

About Citizen COP Australia
Citizen COP Australia is a decentralised, people-powered movement running alongside the global COPs in 2026. Enabled by People For Nature, but intentionally independent and distributed, Citizen COP invites communities, organisations, schools, businesses, artists, and local groups across Australia to host their own events during the COP period. Rather than a single central event, Citizen COP is a nationwide network of conversations, workshops, and actions that bring global climate and nature discussions into local communities. It connects people to science, solutions, and each other, strengthening civic engagement and ensuring citizen voices contribute to Australia’s climate and nature conversations.
