NBMLHD Research: From little things, big things grow

The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is proud to present the 2025 Research Showcase, a two-day celebration of research, innovation, and collaboration in health.

This year’s theme, From Little Things, Big Things Grow, reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement — from the seed of an idea to system-wide transformation.

Day 1: Friday 17 October, Nepean Clinical School, 62 Derby Street, Kingswood

Hosted in collaboration with our valued partners at Sydney Health Partners, the first day will feature:

• A morning Improvement Science Workshop, offering practical tools for translating ideas into impactful change

• A keynote address by Dr Nhi Nguyen, NBMLHD Board Member and esteemed ICU physician, who will share insights from the frontline of clinical research and governance

• An afternoon of research presentations from across the District

Day 2: Friday 14 November, Building D Lecture Theatre, Nepean Hospital

We reconvene with an inspiring program including:

• A keynote panel featuring internationally renowned researchers from the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University

• A series of presentations highlighting local research excellence and real-world impact

This showcase is proudly presented in partnership with the University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, and The University of Notre Dame.
