The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is proud to present the 2025 Research Showcase, a two-day celebration of research, innovation, and collaboration in health.
This year’s theme, From Little Things, Big Things Grow, reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement — from the seed of an idea to system-wide transformation.
Day 1: Friday 17 October, Nepean Clinical School, 62 Derby Street, Kingswood
Hosted in collaboration with our valued partners at Sydney Health Partners, the first day will feature:
A morning Improvement Science Workshop, offering practical tools for translating ideas into impactful change
A keynote address by Dr Nhi Nguyen, NBMLHD Board Member and esteemed ICU physician, who will share insights from the frontline of clinical research and governance
An afternoon of research presentations from across the District
Day 2: Friday 14 November, Building D Lecture Theatre, Nepean Hospital
We reconvene with an inspiring program including:
A keynote panel featuring internationally renowned researchers from the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University
A series of presentations highlighting local research excellence and real-world impact
This showcase is proudly presented in partnership with the University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, and The University of Notre Dame.
