On Wednesday 3rd March in celebration of International Women’s Day, Finder is hosting an all-star panel discussion on the relationship between gender and personal finances in Australia. From savings to super and investing, Finder will unveil its new consumer research report, “From pay gap to parity”, which will detail the financial differences between men and women in 2021.
The free one hour invite-only event will dive deep into where women have shattered the glass ceiling and the areas where there is still work to be done.

Panellists:
- Fiona Guthrie AM - CEO, Financial Counselling Australia: Fiona is the CEO of Financial Counselling Australia and the National Debt Helpline. She has over 30 years experience of supporting people with money and debt problems and was previously Chair of ASIC’s Consumer Advisory Panel. She is now a member of the ACCC’s Consumer Consultative Committee and the Australian Government Financial Literacy Board. In 2017 she was a recipient of an Order of Australia for her services to social welfare and financial counselling.
- Christina Hobbs - CEO, Verve Super: Christina is the CEO and co-founder of Verve Super - Australia's first super fund for women. Prior to Verve she was a Director in the superannuation industry as well as working as a humanitarian and financial inclusion expert for the United Nations for over a decade. She is also a published author on gender equality.
- Lucy Dean - Women's Wealth Editor, Yahoo Finance: Lucy is the Women's Wealth Editor at Yahoo Finance with a focus on wealth, property and personal finance. She has previously written for Women's Agenda, Nest Egg, Mortgage Business, SME Adviser and The Adviser whilst also finding time to co-host the Fierce Females of History podcast.
- Sarah Megginson - Senior Home Loans Editor, Finder: Sarah is Finder’s senior home loans editor. She has more than 15 years experience of being a finance and property journalist and was previously the Managing Editor of Your Investment Property magazine, Australian Broker magazine, and Your Mortgage. She has also ghostwritten or edited over 20 books.
