Online Parent Workshop
Are you a parent or carer of a person with an intellectual disability?
Looking for practical advice, resources, and tips on how to talk about puberty, sex, and everything in between?
Join us online on Monday 25 November, 7:00pm - 8:00pm, for an informative and supportive session with Heather from Family Planning Australia.
When: Monday 25 November, 7:00pm – 8:00pm
Where: Online (link provided after registration)
Who: Heather is part of the Health Promotion Team behind Planet Puberty - a resource designed to help parents and carers feel more confident about when and how to start conversations about puberty with their child.
Many parents of children with intellectual disability or autism wonder when to begin these important discussions. Planet Puberty helps families by offering information at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels - so you can find the right approach for your child.
In this one-hour online session, Heather will:
Introduce you to the Planet Puberty resources
Share ideas on when and how to start the conversation
Help you find the right level of information for your child
Offer practical strategies to make these big changes easier to navigate
