Aristotle set a devastating precedent over 2,300 years ago, “Let there be a law, no deformed child shall live.” And just over a century ago, individuals with even the slightest differences were segregated, often sterilized and lived lives separated from family and community. How did that happen and what is our role in supporting individuals to have the most meaningful lives possible in their home and community?
