Event description
From Understanding to Action: Apply He Mara Mahi Tahi to Your Work
You’ve explored the five elements of Tūhono Impact’s social impact garden, He Mara Mahi Tahi. Let’s dig deeper and explore how to put them into action.
This two-hour online workshop is designed for people ready to move from understanding to action. Whether you’re refining your kaupapa, defining outcomes that reflect your community’s priorities, or shaping impact stories that speak to your markers of success, this session will help you apply the five elements directly to your mahi.
Working in a small, interactive group, you’ll be supported through a sequence of practical activities that build clarity, confidence, and momentum. Expect a mix of bite-sized insights, peer learning, and hands-on tools you can use straight away.
By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with:
A draft purpose statement that clearly captures your kaupapa
Three to five community-defined ‘good looks like’ values
Two to three draft indicators mapped on the Value and Feasibility Matrix
A simple reflection rhythm to help keep your mahi adaptive
A draft impact snapshot combining numbers, story, wellbeing link and next steps
A personal commitment to apply at least one element in the coming month
This workshop is presented by Powerdigm associates Corrina McGregor and Rosie Gallen, with fellow associate Rachel Roberts facilitating the process. Together, they offer a welcoming space to explore your kaupapa, connect with others and build practical tools for purpose-driven practice. Whether you’re working solo or within a team, you’ll leave with tangible outputs and greater clarity on how to embed the five elements of He Mara Mahi Tahi in your work.
Let’s move from knowing to doing, together.
