Frontier Wars Memorial Event

Event description

Warren Roberts, proud Thunghutti and Bundjalung man and founder of Yarn Australia, has initiated a private event at the Sydney Opera House to share stories of the frontier wars and to offer respect to the many lives that were lost through this long period of our history.

Further information about the event is available here along with an opportunity to buy a ticket, gather your people and access the livestream for yourself.

This event, supported by Initiatives of Change and Firekeepers, is an opportunity to watch the live stream of the Frontier Wars Memorial Service, in company with folks who have been participating in Yarn Australia's Storytelling Workshops. These storytellers have been trained in cultural safety and will create a warm and friendly environment for us to share our responses to the memorial service.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the morning and we invite you to stay for a hearty bowl of soup following the stream.

The majority of your ticket cost will be passed on to Yarn Australia with a small amount used to cover food, tea and coffee.
