Fruit/Egg/Garden Basket/ Chopping Board Power Tools 101, The ReCreators Green Space, Monday 16 Nov, 10am - 1pm

Proudly brought to you by the Auckland Council Waste Solutions!

Fruit, Egg or Garden Basket/Chopping Board Power Tools 101

Build a handy basket you’ll actually use, and learn real tool skills while you do it. In this Power Tools 101 class, you’ll choose to make a fruit basket, an egg basket or a garden basket to take home. Perfect for collecting eggs from the coop, harvesting from the veggie patch, or filling with fresh fruit for the kitchen bench. It also makes a great handmade gift or come along and make a native chopping board!

There will be a health and safety briefing at the start of the workshop to inform participants of safety precautions before we begin using tools.

Tools that will be covered in this workshop are a jigsaw, power drill, and sander.

• All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).

• Some work may be outdoors, please wear clothes according to the weather.

The workshop will provide the following:

• Health and Safety Briefing

• Step by step use of all tools

• Where to extend yourself for tools 101

• Personal attention where required
