Fruit tree grafting workshop

Learn the basics of grafting fruit trees in West Croydon

Live, beginner-friendly hands on demonstration with Dyna - Permaculture SA member and fanatical nerdy grafter!

No experience required.

You will learn:

• How to select and prepare scion wood (and what this means if this is new to you!)

• Correct cutting, joining and wrapping techniques

• Tips to improve grafting success

What to bring:

We will be outside so please bring weather appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen etc) and water bottle.

Optional - you are welcome to bring your own rootstock and scion wood if you have a varierty you want to share or sentimental variety you would like to preserve—such as Grandma’s favourite citrus.

Some scion wood ($2) and rootstocks ($10–$15) will also be available for purchase on the day ( eg apple, citrus, mulberry).

A grafting knife if you have one.

If you don't want to graft your own tree on the day, you will still benefit from the practical demonstrations and Dyna's incredible wealth of knowledge!
