UiLab's Future Tech Open House | 13 October 2026
Description
This Month's Focus: Modernise Your Brand and Website - Walk out with a new look!
Your logo and your website are the first thing anyone judges you on, and for most businesses they haven't been touched in years.
In this hands-on session we'll start by rebuilding one website homepage together, step by step, so nobody gets left behind. Then you turn the same tools on your own work: your colours, your images, your homepage.
If you came along to our 18 August or 27 August Open Houses, this is the natural next step, now you make it look like it belongs to you.
We'll look at Leonardo AI and Midjourney and be honest about what each one costs and which is worth paying for. You'll also leave better at briefing a designer, because knowing what you want is half of what you're paying them for.
Everything you make is yours! We finish with time set aside to save and export your files, so you walk out with the work, not just the memory of it.
What you'll walk away with:
A refreshed colour palette and font pairing
Hero images and brand visuals you can use straight away
A homepage layout template and the prompts to keep going on your own
A better sense of what to look for - and ask for - when briefing a designer
What to bring:
A laptop
Your current website or socials
Who Is This For?
Business owners ready to give their brand a refresh
Marketing and comms people looking for a faster, cheaper way to produce brand visuals
Anyone who owns a website or a brand at work
No design experience needed, no AI experience needed
It's practical, hands-on, and open to all. This space is also for Logan residents, small business owners, and anyone who's simply tech-curious.
Ready to explore the future, right here in Logan? Book your spot for this month's Future Tech Open House and be part of our growing tech-curious community.

He builds AI tools hands-on and spends much of his time cutting through the hype, helping people understand what these tools can do, where they should not be trusted, and how to use them responsibly. His background pairs physics and nanotechnology with a grounding in IP law, which shapes how he thinks about emerging technology and the rules that should guide it. He is drawn to teaching because the technology only creates value when people genuinely understand it, and he enjoys making complex ideas clear and practical for any audience
