We're in the deep of winter now. The longest nights have passed, the solstice behind us, and the slow turn back toward summer has quietly begun. But we're not there yet — and that's the point.
Winter asks something different of us. It's not the season to be loud and proud, to push outward or harvest. It's a time to turn inward. To hibernate. To let things settle, compost, and slow right down. There's a quiet wisdom in this season: that rest is not idleness, and that letting go is how we make room for what's coming. Winter is a good time to compost the old and make ready for the new.
A Special Full Moon
This circle marks something meaningful. For a year now, Karina and I have held this space on the full moon — a place for women to gather, to rest, to reflect, and to release. What began as an intention has become a rhythm and cultivated space for ritual in line with the seasonal flows of nature. This anniversary feels like the right moment to honour it.
So on this special full moon, we invite all women to come together in the spirit of winter.
What to Expect
A grounding tea ceremony. Karina will hold her tea ceremony as always, this time with a rich, deep, nourishing tea chosen to anchor us — to support the inward journey and the work of reflection.
A fire ceremony. New for this circle, we'll gather around a small fire 🔥 and invite each woman to release into the flames what she consciously wishes to let go of. What is ready to be composted? What no longer needs to be carried into the coming season?
As we journey back along our pathway to summer, this is our chance to set down what's heavy, and travel lighter.

Venue and How to Get There
Redfern healing space at 688 Bourke Street, Redfern. Entry instructions and how to get there is provided in the confirmation email.
Please note
This is a women-only gathering held in a safe, respectful and intimate space.
Please arrive a little early so we can begin together. We ask that phones remain away during the circle, allowing everyone to be fully present with themselves and one another.
No previous experience is required. Come exactly as you are.
Spaces are capped to keep it intimate.

- Who is this circle for?
All women are welcome. Whether you've joined us before or this is your first time, you'll find a warm, safe space here.
- Do I need any experience?
None at all. Just come as you are — open and willing to rest, reflect, and release.
- What is a tea ceremony?
A slow, intentional way of sharing tea together. Each ceremony is a guided experience, using a specially chosen tea for each occasion to support the reflection process. You don't need to do anything but be present. Participation is optional.
- What happens in the fire ceremony?
We gather around a small fire and each have the chance to release something we're ready to let go of. You might write it down, speak it, or simply hold it in mind as you offer it to the flames. It's entirely up to you how you take part.
- Do I have to share or speak?
No. You're welcome to participate as much or as little as feels right. There's no pressure to speak aloud. Your presence is already participation.
- What should I wear?
We'll be indoors but wear comfortable, warm clothing you can relax and sit on cushions in.
