Full Moon Rising with Harpist Kathleen Campbell | Friday 11th July 5:00pm - 6:45pm

A mindful evening in nature with renowned local harpist, Kathleen Campbell. Enjoy the colours of the sunset at one of our best local beaches and then the spectacle of the full moon rising over the water. A time for quiet moments alone or shared with friends and family and soaking up the fresh ocean breezes with the calming music of the harp and nature. 

Time: Please arrive at the site by 5:00pm ready for the harpist to begin at 5:15pm The moon is due to rise around 5:54pm. 

Location: Beachfront location in the Northern Beaches. Specific location will be provided in the days leading up to the event to those who have secured a ticket.  

Cost: $5 - $10 donation towards the Mackay Northern Beaches Lions Club, Community Wellbeing Series. 

This community event is provided by the Northern Beaches Community Network & Mackay Northern Beaches Lions Club as part of our Community Wellbeing Series. This event is made possible via a Mackay Regional Council Community Impact Grant. Donations are used to fund more Community Wellbeing Events in the future. As spots are limited for this event, we ask for $5 for an individual and $10 for a family (2 adults + 1 - 4 children). You are welcome to donate more if you're feeling called - this can be done via the donation section underneath the ticketing options if you wish. 

Please bring: A blanket / beach towel and/or cushion. You're welcome to bring your own nibblies, food and non-alcoholic drinks. Please ensure we leave only our footprints at the end of this event. Discard of all rubbish and treat our natural environment with care. Bring a torch to facilitate your exit at the conclusion of this event. We ask that there be no light, other than the moonlight during the event itself. If you bring a chair, please ensure you're at the back of the gathering space.

Rent a bean bag: We have a small selection of comfy bean bags to utilise during this gathering for $10. If you're wanting to rent a bean bag for the evening, please ensure you select 'General Admission + Bean Bag'. Numbers are limited. 

Considerations: This gathering is designed to be a quiet, slow, mindful experience with music and nature. Whilst children are welcome, we ask that you consider the child's age and capacity to reflect the intentions of the evening. Whilst we love to see children being active, running around and playing ball sports - these activities would not be consistent with the nature of this event. The invitation revolves are quiet conversations on your rugs, enjoying the beautiful music by Kathleen Campbell and a front row seat witnessing the moonrise over the beach. A beautiful time for reflection, mindfulness and connection. As per laws and regulations - vaping, smoking and drinking of alcoholic drinks is prohibited on the beach.

Parking & Access: Please note, there is limited parking at the location. Please consider car pooling, being dropped off or walking if you're a local. Option to also park at one of the other beach access points. Ensure that you park your car in a safe place which doesn't impede the access or flow of traffic to or from the site.
