A free, family-friendly community day to help you and your family stay safe, connected and confident this summer.

Come along to our Fun, Sun & Water Safety Day, proudly supported by Community Bank Sarina, for a fun-filled day of activities, games, food, connection and practical information for the whole family.

The event will be delivered in partnership with Mackay Surf Life Saving Club and Cancer Council, bringing together local knowledge, activities and information to help families enjoy the summer while staying sun safe and water wise.

• Learn about water safety and staying safe around beaches and waterways

• Discover practical sun safety tips to protect you and your family

• Take part in fun activities and games for children and families

• Enjoy food, community and a welcoming atmosphere

The event is open to the whole community, with a special focus on ensuring our migrant and multicultural families have the knowledge, skills and local connections they need to feel confident navigating summer safety in our region.

Whether you’re new to the community or have lived here for years, this is an opportunity to learn something new, meet local organisations, connect with others and enjoy a day together.
